Solid Oak Waney Edged Drinks Cabinet

Based on a customer commission, this beautiful waney edged drinks cabinet displays bottles and glasses in the most creative way. The central portion is left open and a soft close door was fitted on either side. In this instance they were to be glazed by the customer.

The overhanging waney edge of the doors forms the handle for opening meaning the grain is unspoiled by any surface mounted hardware.

Made from carefully sourced wide French Oak stock the board on the top was mitred at both ends to form an “infinity” look so that the grain flows continuously up one side of the cabinet, across the top surface and down the other side. Supported by clear coated steel hairpin legs this forms a highly practical sideboard surface and drinks cabinet.
